Happy 39th Anniversary Mimi and Papa Paul

You would think I would have a picture of my parents here...oops. Here are 3 of their 6 favorite subjects though. These are of the girls at Shogun tonight. It is 100% our favorite place to eat here. Hope has always been terrified of the fire. Tonight was no exception, except that she was better once the cook left the table.

Noah's First Swim

We were invited to swim with Clay and Nicole yesterday at Clay's house. It was a great opportunity to get Noah into the pool for the first time. He was unsure about it for a few seconds, but then he did really well! Nicole took several pictures for me. I am loving the ones with Clay watching Noah because you can tell he was loving being around Noah. Clay was not exactly loving Hope, however! He thinks 3 year olds are pretty annoying! I did gently remind him that I remember when he was 3 years old and his brothers were kidda thinking the same about him! I think the combo of her being 3 AND her being a girl was just too much! He was interested in what Noah was doing, and had several suggestions for me on what Noah needed (usually burping or tapping.) It was so fun to hang out with Clay and Nicole. Thanks for the invite!
And a little fun fact: Hope's first swim was also in Clay's pool. AND Nicole was there to take pictures of her too!
And yes, Hope is wearing a leotard because her mommy forgot to pack her swimsuit. Oops.

I think he is growing...

What do you think?

Noah can now hold his head up really well (finally!)
He smiles and giggles A LOT!!!
He is outgrowing all his 0-3 month clothes.
And he loves zerberts on his little feetsies!
Noah starts school on Monday (say a little prayer for his mommy!)

We're Home From The Lake

Back to reality this morning....

Naps for Daddy an Noah

Dress up for Hope (and gum)

Cleaning up the mess for Mommy (don't worry, I'm saving some for Daddy)

Lake House

I have decided to do something with pictures of the places we visit. I think I want to do a collage on a wall in our kitchen of pictures of the doorways of the places, with some other pictures of architecture details mixed in. I have just been playing with these pictures of the lakehouse...

Lake Babies Day 5

Our last full day at the lake was a good one. The girls woke up ready to play Rock Band with John. Even Mama Bee rocked out as the lead guitarist! We all got in some lake time with more knee boarding and tubing. Wes named both John and me the "Tubing Champs." He tried and tried but couldn't throw either one of us off the tube. Riley and Julia hung on like champs too for the "thrashings!" Clara got in a couple more runs on the knee board, and Riley and Julia did about a million 360s on the knee board. Julia also managed to throw John off of the jetski. My mom and sister have all of the lake pictures on their cameras, so I will add those later. It was a fun day, and we wrapped it up with dinner at Cajun Boilers. It was the end to a great week!

Lake Babies Day 4

Day four was a little more laid back than the rest. I have no pictures! They got out on the lake in the morning. Clara did some knee boarding!!! She is 4! This is the same girl who was scared of the water at the beginning of the summer, and scared of the tube just a few days ago. Now she is out there knee boarding all by herself!

The rain cut the time at the lake short. The big girls went to soccer practice last night, and the rest of us did a little shopping. Hope ended up with some shiny black shoes that she loooooves, and Noah got an outfit for Halloween.

We ended up at On The Border to eat. The grownups ordered margaritas. I am proud to say that I was the only one that was carded! That hasn't happened in a while.

John got here late last night. He got Rock Band all set up so the girls could wake up and play this morning...should be fun!!!

Lake Babies Day 3

Hope with "The Cousins"

Papa Paul with all of his grand daughters
"What are you thinking?"
Noah's second boat ride to dinner tonight.
Mimi is working on Noah's stocking. It is beginning to be known as "the stocking from hell." She said it has given her more trouble than any of the other 14 she has made before.

I am doing my best to keep John updated on what we are up to at the lake! We started off the day with Noah's first boat ride. He loved it. The faster the boat went, the better. He might be our wild man! He really only cried when we stopped. I, of course did not have my camera for this moment. This afternoon we went and watched the big girls knee board. They were awesome! I was impressed with their skills! We ended with a boat ride to Doe's for dinner, and then some down time at the house. Riley caught two fish after we came home, and Clara caught one. Hope caught a little fish 2 nights ago. It keeps getting bigger everytime you ask her how big it was.

Also, Grandma Sharon and Heather, I know you have tried to call. We are not able to call out on on cell phones for some reason! Sometimes we are lucky enough to have a call come in to us, but even that is rare! Email probably work best right now.

Thanks to Uncle Vince for taking care of our house this week! Wish you, Lisa and Wade were
here!

Lake Babies Day 2

I know John could come up with a funny caption for this picture of Noah...
Hope and the lake house

Here are some pictures from yesterday especially for daddy. We miss you and wish you were here! We can't wait for you to get here tomorrow!

Lake Babies

After Church on Sunday

Hey, Hope...Why so sad?

Because it's time to pass on her shoes that are too small.

I went through Hope's closet to gather things to pass on some things to Rosalie. I had piled all of her too small shoes on her bed. She asked why they were on her bed, and I said that they were too little for her, so it was time to give them to Rosalie. She started fussing saying they DID still fit her. She struggled to get one on her foot (picture Cinderella's step-sisters trying to get the slipper to fit!) She finally got her foot in and she said "SEE it does fit. Oooouch!" I of course ran to get my camera, and she had gathered up all of them that she could hold and was headed to put them back in her closet.
